Hi,

It has been 3 weeks with no response. How long does it take to hear back from PwC Middle East? Does this long period imply a negative outcome?

Hello,

What round of interviews was it? 3 weeks is not too unusual, and doesn't imply anything about the outcome. If this was a first round interview, I would wait one more week before reaching out to HR to ask about the status of your application.

Hi there,

The longer the timeline the generally lower chance of offer. This is a correlation/relationship but not a fact.

As it has been 3 weeks you can feel free to reach out to check in.

Remember, you should never pin your hopes on just 1 firm where possible. Network with and apply to 30+ firms!

Hi there,

Some companies in the Middle East tend to be slower than in other countries. A total of 3 weeks is quite some time to hear back after a final round but it doesn’t necessarily mean you have been rejected.

I would recommend calling HR to ask for an update – there is no penalty for doing so.

Good luck!

Francesco

Hi there,

Many HR teams in the ME are notorious for taking their time in terms of application processing and candidate communications. In that context, no, this is not necessarily an indication of a negative outcome and I suggest you don't try to interpret too much into it. Simply quite common.

Suggest you wait a few days longer and the kindly follow up with HR - they'll be able to tell you what's up.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Andi

Hi there,

3 weeks is rather on the long end of the wait.

At this point, I'd suggest that you reach out to them and ask for an update on your application.

At the same time, continue applying. This is the best thing that you can do to put your nerves to ease.

Hey, after my business unit interview, it took around 9 weeks for them to respond. I have recently completed my final interview and am once again waiting for a response. I was quite disheartened by the wait at the beginning but unfortunately Middle East does just take longer and you have to take it with a pinch of salt i guess.

While the typical timeline for hearing back from PwC Middle East can vary, three weeks is certainly longer than usual. However, it's important to note that a longer response time doesn't necessarily imply a negative outcome. There could be various reasons for the delay, such as internal scheduling conflicts or a high volume of candidates being considered.
