Experienced Hire - Bain

Hi there,

I've noticed that Bain have closed recruitment for experienced hires. Does anyone know when this is likely to reopen?

Thanks,

Hi there,

There's a few sides to this.

  1. In general, my consulting colleagues have informed me hiring seems to be primed to pick up Q1 next year
  2. I know of specific instance of Bain hiring (yes, Bain hiring) - depends on office, role, etc.
  3. Network, network, network. There is always a way
  4. We never know
  5. Apply to a ton of firms/roles…never rely on just 1 firm

No idea.

This depends a lot from market to market and role to role.

My recommendation would be to send an email to the recruiter and ask. Send them already your CV and tell them that you're interested in joining them and whether they can let you know when they re-open hiring (assuming now they're actually closed).

Then start looking into other firms. Aim to go as broad as possible.

Sharing with you a guide on how to build an application strategy that you might find useful:

Best,
Cristian

Hi,

The situation now for many firms in many geographies isn't too positive - although some offices are still hiring of course.

This is not an answer that anyone on this forum can give you - this will depend on your specific office/location, and the best chance you have of figuring out a sense of this is if you have internal network/contacts there.

Hello,

It's best to reach out to recruiters at the office you are interested in applying to and ask. Experienced hires tend to be recruited on more of an as-needed basis, meaning that recruiting cycles can be less standardized than for entry-level. So it's always best to check.
