Hi everyone!

I've been invited for the case study round for Deloitte's Organisational transformation consultant position. Been asked to structure my process or answers using the STAR Analysis method. Was wondering if anyone had any advice or ideas about what might be asked? :)

Hi there,

STAR refers to fit/behavioral NOT case studies.

Your question seriously concerns me as it tells me you're coming in quite blind to this.

Remember that case interviews take weeks/months to prepare for. Hire a coach.

^Those are the 3 whys, but STAR is used for your personal stories (Situation, tasks, action, results)

Hi there!

Not full sure I understand your question - STAR stands for (situation, task, action, result) and is usually a framework used for telling personal fit stories, not for cases.

So, if you're basically asking about what you're likely to be asked for Deloitte's interview on the personal fit side, make sure that you definitely prepare:

  • tell me about yourself
  • why consulting
  • why deloitte

Aside from this, make sure that you think through and prepare 2-3 examples from your professional life when you had a significant impact on others - it could be able you leading a team through a difficult time, convincing somebody more senior or taking initiative.

Best,
Cristian

A few potential questions

Experience:

  • Describe your experience with organizational transformation projects.
  • Describe a successful change management plan you developed and implemented.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management:

  • How do you gain buy-in and support from key stakeholders?
  • How do you handle resistance to change within an organization?
  • Can you discuss your change communication strategies?
  • How do you decide between competing priorities?

Future Focus and Fit:

  • What excites you about working at Deloitte, and how do you see yourself contributing to the team and clients?

Other than this, I suggest checking out Glassdoor to identify previous questions asked during interviews.
