BCG Round One Business Analyst vs. Associate

Hi,

I would be interviewing for the Business Analyst role in BCG SEA.

May I know what is the difference for round one interviews for the business analyst position vs the associate position.

Also, are there any coaches who have interviewed business analyst candidates while at BCG? I would love to connect and probably get some coaching sessions.

Thank you very much :)

Hello,

The interviews themselves aren't different, you have a case component and a behavioral component in both. People interviewing for associate positions would be expected to have more business knowledge and more experience, but the types of cases and questions are the same.

I have not worked at BCG but have coached several candidates who have been successful in getting a Business Analyst position there, so feel free to reach out!

Hi there,

There really is no difference! You should well and truly expect the exact same experience (in that, you can't expect any one thing!).

There will be a case + fit on a vast range of topics for which you'll have to prepare. It is no easier or harder based on your level.

I'm ex-BCG and at this point have *almost* lost track of how many candidates I've supported in getting offer! Feel free to reach out.

Hey there,

The same process and same evaluation criteria. Coaching with an expert can definitely help you get on the right track more effectively and efficiently.

I believe Ian is a good source for that! :-)

Cheers,

Florian
