How would you estimate the number of cars in a city, not counting domestically owned cars?

Hi Vlad, thank you for your reply. I think my question was seeking to estimate the number of cars not owned for personal use, which might include company cars, cars owned by taxi companies, etc

Hi,
Depending on how well you know the city you can:
- Split the city area into avg blocks
- Segment blocks into highly / med / low traffic and make the assumptions about the # of cars per block (You can take peak hours)
- Assume certain % of cars that are still in the garage during peak hours
Alternatively, you can try to estimate the garage and parking space
