They certainly see a lower number of applications than MBB, so you're competing with less people. On the other side they will also hire much less people. So overall I woudn't say that it's generally easier to get in. RB has a high standard and you'll need to ace your interviews to get an offer.

As in most regions, my understanding is that it would be less competitive simply by virtue of brand/# of applicants.

Based on my experience, RB SEA is not really competitive IMO. They are closer to T3 or a boutique in SEA. Other T2 firms (e.g. Kearney, Deloitte, Accenture) have larger offices are are alot more present at pitches for major clients.
