BCG ADC interview process question

I’m interviewing for the ADC role at a BCG Greater China office. For this post I’ll just translate the time/dates to US.

My process so far has been:

8/28: Global BCG recruiter contacts me saying I made it to initial stage of process.

9/2: Local office BCG recruiter emails me to complete online HireQuotient (Casey) assessment by 9/4. (There was no fit portion to this)

9/5: Recruiter emails me "Invitation to BCG Round 1 interview" scheduled in 2 days.

9/7: One zoom interview (fit/case) with a principal from the GC region.

9/9: Recruiter contacts me to schedule another interview in the same email chain.

9/12: One zoom interview (fit/case) with a partner from the GC region.

I contacted my recruiter following the interview and was told that they’ll be in touch with me later regarding next steps in the process.

Does anyone have any insight on where I am now in the process? I think I just completed the first round based on the recruiter's email title, but it seems many US BCG ADC applicants here just completed round 2 and are expecting final decisions soon. How many interviews did you go through for ADC in the US offices?

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with BCG thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, it seems you are indeed at the end of the first interview round as you assumed.
  • Moreover, I would highly advise you to inquire about the total interview process with the recruiter.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming BCG interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

From the flow you described, it seems both the interviews were part of Round 1. Most likely the next step will be Round 2 if you are successful.

Good luck!

Seems that you've completed Round 1 and are waiting for a decision on whether you pass to Round 2.

Your timeline suggests you’ve likely completed Round 1, especially since both interviews were labeled as fit/case and involved senior consultants. The follow-up interview on 9/12 might have been part of a multi-interviewer Round 1 format common in some regions. I’d clarify directly with your recruiter whether it was part of Round 1 or Round 2, as office-specific variations exist. In the US, ADC candidates typically go through 2–3 interview rounds total.
