Hi there!

For sure.

That's a great indication that you've already met the bar of their competitiors so it's something great that you'd want to signal.

Make sure however that you have a great application strategy to begin with. That means many things (all covered in the guide below), but most importantly having a broad and timeline application process.

Best,
Cristian

Hello,

Yes, absolutely! It's very common for people to intern at one MBB and then recruit with the other MBBs for full-time, there's no problem with you having worked for their competition or anything like that. An internship experience on your resume will be an indication that you've gained valuable experience and skills, so I would definitely put that on your resume.

Hi there,

Yes! 100%

This is an experience that validates your profile and show these firms that you are capable. In general, any consulting-related experience should absolutely be on your resume.

Hi there,

yes - absolutely. Even if you didn't manage to convert your internship to a fulltime offer, an MBB brand on your CV will massively upgrade your profile and open doors much more easily, in the Middle East, but also anywhere else.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the MBB internship!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, generally speaking, you should include all professional, academic, and extracurricular experiences that will add value to your application. An internship at a competitor consulting firm will certainly do exactly this.
  • Moreover, I would highly advise you to be prepared to discuss your experiences during the MBB internship in the full-time interviews. Be ready to articulate what you learned, how you contributed, and why you are applying to another MBB firm.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi,
I confirm it's crucial to include your internship in the CV. It is exactly what they're looking for: working experiences that gave you skills useful for consulting. I recommend preparing for the question: did they make you a full-time offer?

Best,
Antonello
