Implement Consulting Group

Has anyone recent experience of interviewing for ICG? I am interviewing for Management Consultant position for Raleigh NC office. The office manager told me the following:

  1. Game assessment (some kind of logic plus behavioral assessment)
  2. 3x interviews with 2 consultants each

Any insights or advice appreciated!

Hi there,

I've had candidates in the past interviewing with Implement.

The cases themselves are similar to those from other firms. So as long as you perform distinctively on those, you don't need to expect anything different.

The game is a newer addition. It would help if you get some extra info about it on how to prepare - either from the recruiter or from secondary sources (here on the  Q&A if somebody had experience with it, or check other forums like Reddit).

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Implement!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:

  • First of all, I would strongly advise you to contact the recruiter, as they are the only ones who know for certain and may provide additional details.
  • Moreover, other than that, this seems to be a standard application process, and there does not seem to be anything specific to prepare for besides what you would do for any other consulting firm.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming Implement pre-interview assessment and/or interviews, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

Talk to the recruiter. Many firms have internal guides or prep resources they’ll only share if you ask. Even if it’s not on the website, recruiters often have PDF guides or links to practice materials that can help you prepare.

That said, ICG usually follows a standard consulting interview format, so prepare as you would for any other top consulting firm: master your fit stories, structure your cases, and sharpen your math and exhibit interpretation skills.

Best,

Alberto

Definitely worth speaking to the recruiter to clarify.

From what I understand (and aligned with other coaches) their interviews are quite similar to a classic consulting interview.

Best of luck and let me know if you want to practice a tough case.
