Does the BCG first round consist of two interviews?

Hi everyone,
I’m applying for a consultant role at BCG in Southeast Asia and have received an invitation for the first-round interview. They’ve asked me to confirm two separate interview slots on different days (mine are scheduled for 19 and 20 June) and mentioned that there will be two sessions, each lasting 45 minutes.

Is this a new format?
As far as I know, the first round usually consists of just one interview covering both behavioural and case components.

Would really appreciate any insights. Thanks!

Yes, the format you described, with two 45-minute interviews, is standard for BCG's first interview round. And even if it weren't the standard, it's unfortunately out of your control, so you have to follow the application process as it happens.

Hi there,

Actually, the two interview format is the classic one. So it's absolutely normal to expect that.

The one interview format for the first round is rather new, and it's part of an attempt to try and 'screen' candidates more intensively and thus spend fewer resources on the consulting firm's side in the early parts of the recruitment process.

To my understanding, it is normally two interviews for the first round. There can be some office-by-office variability at each firm though.
