Only one interview for Final Round BCG

Hi all, as per title. I just got notice that I will be moving onwards to the final round for BCG. However, the recruiter mentioned that there will only be one interview for this round. I would like to get if this means that they are happy with my previous performances and will stress test something, or is this a new norm for them?

Hi there,

Congrats on getting into the final round!

Well, this might not be related to your performance in the first round. This happens when other interviewers cannot interview because of agenda conflicts.

However, I highly suggest preparing better for the final interview, because everything will rely on his/her feedback.

Let me know if you need any help preparing.

Best,

Carlos

Hey there ?, it's not uncommon for BCG to consolidate the final round into a single, in-depth interview, which can indicate they're satisfied with your earlier performances and now want to stress test your fit and skills in one go rather than multiple sessions—this may simply be a streamlined approach rather than a new norm, so just prepare as you would for a comprehensive case and behavioral deep dive. Best, Alessa ?

Congrats on making it to BCG's final round! Having just one interview in the final stage can happen for a few reasons - sometimes it means they're already impressed with your performance and just need one more conversation to confirm, or they might be streamlining their process.

Speaking of interview prep, I recently discovered Ninjafy AI and it's been a game-changer. It gives real-time, personalized answers during live interviews without the interviewer ever knowing you're getting help. Perfect for those tricky consulting case questions or when you need to recall specific examples. Definitely worth checking out if you want that extra edge for your BCG final round! ninjafy.ai

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with BCG thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • I would highly advise you not to overthink the situation. It probably has no deeper meaning that you only have one final round interview, nor does it matter if BCG has changed anything about their application process.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming BCG interview, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

this is likely due to scheduling considerations of interviewers on their side. As such, I would view it as neutral and I do not believe that they will pressure test more or less than in any other interview. Try to be as sharp as possible both in the personal fit and case part. In the end, only one more hurdle to take.

Wishing you all the best for this final step!

Best,
Sebastian

Hi there,

Congrats!

In itself, the number of interviews does not mean much. I would see it as neutral.

All the best,

Florian

Hi there,

final interview rounds typically consist of anywhere from one to three interviews with partners. The exact number usually depends on the availability of interviewers. This number is usually not correlated to your "score" in the prior rounds.

Best of luck

If you only have one interview is most likely because that is their process, not because of your prior performance. Everyone tends to follow the same process, even high performers. (if you weren't doing well, you would be having 2 interviews... you would have ZERO interviews for the next round...)

BCG offices have some leeway and freedom in adjusting the recruiting process to their needs. It may be unique for your case, or not.

No point trying to figure it out. Focus on preparing well for it, do your best, and get that offer :)

Hey there,

There are many reasons why this could be the case, and is not too uncommon. It's not a new norm but happens from time to time (sometimes due to availability of interviewers etc.)

All the best none the less!

Hi,

I wouldn’t read too much into that. It is hard to know what is going on in the background and you have no control over it. Just focus on what you have control and prepare well for the interview.

Good luck!
