What to Expect in the Application Process at DHL Consulting
The Bonn office recruits on a rolling basis for full-time consulting roles, meaning there are no application deadlines and you can apply whenever the timing is right for you. Our Singapore office accepts applications whenever a position is posted, while our U.S. office primarily recruits on a seasonal basis. Internship opportunities are typically advertised throughout the year in line with hiring needs.
The Online Assessment: The next step in our recruiting process is an online assessment. This assessment allows us to evaluate your abilities and aptitude in a structured manner. We believe it is an effective way to gauge your potential fit within our organization.
Invitation to our Recruiting Days: If we would like to get to know you better, we will invite you to one of our virtual Recruiting Days. These online interview day provides an excellent opportunity for both internship and full-time candidates to meet our team, gain deeper insights into DHL Consulting, and demonstrate their skills and potential through a series of interviews and interactions.
Structure of our Recruiting Days: Our virtual Recruiting Days are designed to provide a comprehensive and engaging assessment experience while allowing candidates to connect with our team from anywhere in the world.
All candidates begin with Round 1, which consists of two interviews. These interviews include a business case relevant to the role and a discussion focused on your motivation, experience, and overall fit with DHL Consulting.
For internship candidates, a successful performance in Round 1 leads to another interview in the afternoon, successful candidates can expect to receive an offer on the same day.
For full-time candidates, a successful Round 1 leads directly to Round 2, which takes place on the same day. This round includes two additional interviews, featuring a more advanced business case and a role-play exercise designed to further assess your consulting and stakeholder management skills, as well as your personal fit with our organization
Congratulations and Offers: Successful full-time candidates will be invited to visit us in person and can begin their journey with DHL Consulting on the first day of any month, with the exception of December 1.

DHL aims to create a new E-Commerce business model that combines:

The strategic goal is to strengthen the stationary retail sector as an important customer group. The DHL Consulting team is tasked by the DHL Business Unit "Post & Parcel Germany" (P&P) with identifying a suitable German city for a pilot project and estimating the potential revenue in that city.
You have been hired to support the owner of a bike-shop as a business consultant. The bike-shop has suffered a significant revenue decline during the last year, and now the owner would like you to assess the situation and options for the way forward.
They want to know last year’s profit, i.e. how it was affected by the revenue decline, and what the priority actions are to survive the next year. (short term)
In addition they would like to understand the strategic competitive position of the shop better and how to increase revenues again mid- to long-term.
