Hey there!

Typically, you can expect to hear back from BCG about next steps within a week after your first-round interview, though response times can vary depending on the office and recruiting season. If you haven’t heard anything after a week, it’s reasonable to reach out to your recruiter for an update. BCG aims to keep candidates informed, so they should provide feedback and next steps relatively promptly.

Good luck! Alessa

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with BCG thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, based on the experience of my coachees, I would advise you to wait at least 1-2 weeks before reaching out to the recruiter.
  • Moreover, please keep in mind that in the final interview round, you may be faced with a slightly different style for both the case study and the personal fit part. You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

Depends on the country but next steps should be relatively quick.

My recent BCG mentees heard back within the same week for their R2 invite, however, there was a bit of a delay until the actual R2 interviews due to generally low hiring goals and a slow recruiting funnel.

Fingers crossed!

Hi there,

It can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks typically, depending on their recruiting schedule. I would at least wait for a week before sending any follow-ups. They will definitely inform you once they are ready. There are no silent rejections or things like that.

Fingers crossed that your feedback is positive

When interviewers have time to connect and debrief.

This normally takes 1-2 weeks.

Hey there,

In the best case scenario, this can take a day, but usually anything 1-2 weeks.

If recruiting have shared any timelines with you, it's good practice to follow up if / after that timeline period passes without response. Timelines tend to vary by region, practice, and even economic cycles

It typically takes about one week, but the timeline can vary depending on the recruiting team's workload. If they are managing multiple hiring processes, it may take a bit longer.
