Just curious about what is your/industry perception about the Digital/Technology Practice at Bain? I know Mck/ BCG have invested a lot in their separate Digital practices. Does that mean Bain is not good at this? Thanks!

Hi there,
My understanding is it is McK > BCG > Bain. From what I know, Bain is quite late to the game. (There are going to be immense regional differences though based on acquisitions, Partner movements, etc.)
To the extent that I have heard little about Bain making a serious play at Digital, one can certainly infer that perceptions of Bain's capabilities considerably lag McKinsey and BCG.
I can speak directly to McKinsey's Digital Practice since I did at least 1 Study that crossed-over with Digital folks and the scale of resources and client work that McKinsey has poured into this practice has borne significant fruit…both in terms of breadth of client work and value for clients.
This will always be an incredibly bar for anyone to scale…including BCG and Bain!
