I was just curious about this mentorship scheme and the possibilities of this being translated into a full-time associate role. I understand it isn't a main pipeline, but does participating in this scheme increase my chances of visibility and interview likelihood?

Yes, it does increase your chances.
Specifically, it increases your chances directly of passing screening. In some cases, candidates who participate in these sort of programs are fast-forwarded directly to the first round.
It also increases your chances indirectly of getting an offer because you grow more familiar with the firm, concepts, culture and often get a chance to do case studies and receive feedback from existing consultants.
So definitely go for it!
