So any answer that we can give you is only partly relevant and likely to create more confusion. 

Typically, yes, it's just under one year from the application to the job start in the big markets (e.g., US, UK). For smaller offices, the start date can be even a few weeks away and is typically negotiable directly with the office.

Your range is usually correct based on the last couple of years. Interviews are then at the end of October/early November mostly.

a recruiting period from September to November for a start date in September in the following year sounds reasonable. That's how it works for many consulting companies in the US for example. In Germany, recruiting happens year-round. 

For your case in the UK, you will be best served to inquire directly with the firms you want to apply to. But the general timeframe you stated makes sense. So there shouldn't be any major surprises.

Yes, the timeline seems right. I am coaching few students from Imperial and Oxford business schools, and they are aiming for a similar schedule for their applications and interviews.

Yes, that is usually the case. But it never hurts to double check directly with the recruiter (if the answer is really important to you), as they may change their plans.
