I am wondering:

(1) What are good sources to determine McKinsey Associate /EM level starting salaries for experienced hires in the southern US. I saw some info in Glassdoor but it does not break it out for experienced hires or location. Or if anyone on this is site don’t mind sharing the salary info they have, that would be great.

(2) Are experienced hires interviewed and/or compensated any differently than campus hires (at the same level)? I have found conflicting info from various sources.

Hi, the salary should be the same for the 2 backgrounds. What is different and open to be negotiated is the signing bonus.
About the interviews, the process is exactly the same

Best,

Hi there,

I've generally found managementconsulted to be the most accurate + comprehensive source for salaries.

From there, you can see MBA Associate hires at McKinsey earn a base of $165k in the US. I would say though that the market has been changing rapidly this summer (due to labor shortages etc) so these numbers are a bit of a moving target at the moment.

Hey there,

Check out Glassdoor, look at the most recent salary reviews AND add a couple of thousands per role as most firms have increased their salaries over the last month actually in the war for talent.

Cheers,

Florian
