I have emailed the recruiter the week post interview day but haven't got any response. ( for asso role, experience hire)
had my BCG first round on Nov 11th but haven't heard back from the recruiter.
Hi,
Used to be from BCG Asia as well. Unfortunately sometimes the process does lapse, and there could be a multitude of reasons. I have had coachees who had waited ~1 - 1.5 months to hear back even. So I would suggest to wait a while more and follow up politely again.

5 Reasons Why Experienced Hires Fail the Interview
All the best!
That wait is brutal, especially when you feel like you performed well and the recruiter goes dark. It’s unprofessional, but it is sadly a common symptom of how recruiting teams manage bandwidth.
Here is the reality behind the silence, particularly for experienced hire roles: Experienced hire timelines are much looser than campus ones, and two weeks is not unusually long, but the lack of communication indicates you are likely in a holding pattern. The recruiting team is busy prioritizing their top candidates (the ones they want to move quickly to offer) and processing those candidates' decisions. They usually will not proactively update candidates who are currently sitting lower on the list or who are awaiting a final "no" decision from the partner group.
Your best strategic pivot now is to operate under the assumption that this application is paused indefinitely. Send one final, extremely polite, one-line follow-up early next week—simply reiterating your strong interest and confirming they have no timeline update—and then immediately drop the urgency on BCG. Aggressively push forward with your applications at other top-tier firms. If they decide to move forward with you, the process will spring back to life instantly, but you cannot afford to slow your other applications down waiting on them.
All the best with the next steps.
Sorry to hear. The wait is indeed painful (been there).
They will answer. They don't do silent rejections. It might just take a while because something came up (one of the interviewers is sick, HR was off, etc.)
The only thing you can do in the meatime is to focus on developing the other applications.
Best,
Cristian
Hi there,
It’s totally normal for it to take a few weeks to hear back, especially around busy periods. I’d give it a little more time before following up again. If it's been over 2-3 weeks since your first follow-up, a polite check-in is fine.
hey there :)
It’s normal for BCG to take a few weeks to get back, especially for Experienced Hire roles. Since you already emailed once, it’s fine to wait another week or so before sending a polite follow-up. Sometimes internal review and scheduling for R2 take longer than expected, so don’t assume the worst yet.
best, Alessa :)
Hi,
I know easier said than done, but hang in there and be patient. You will hear from them! Until then, focus on other applications.
Best,
Lukas
Hi there,
I am sure you shall receive an answer this or next week latest!
Best of luck
This is normal. Sometimes they take 3-4 weeks to come back with an answer. Although usually most will get an answer after ~2 weeks. So I hope you get your (positive) answer today!
