Hi! I'm looking to practice my casing skills. I prefer candidate-led cases, but can help you with any style!

Hello PrepLounge Community!

I am a USA MBA looking to recruit for Full-Time this fall. I recently reviewed the ManagementConsulted 2024 Salary Guide and found that BCG's base salary for an MBA in Saudi Arabia is SAR768,000 (~205k USD). Is this accurate? I'm also wondering how much is bonus, housing allowance on top of that base salary.

Thanks in advance for your insights into this one.

Hi Cesar,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, the figure you mentioned does fall within the range of what BCG seems to offer in Saudi Arabia. However, it's always good to cross-reference such information with other sources or directly with the firm during your recruitment discussions.
  • Moreover, please keep in mind that bonuses and allowances can significantly augment your total compensation package.

You can find more on this topic here: Salaries in the consulting industry.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there!

That is within the right range, though, on the higher end.

One thing you can do is to try and have coffee chats with people who joined within the last year. Some tend to volunteer how much they make during the conversation, so this way you could know for sure.

Here's how to source these chats:

Hi Cesar,

In my opinion it's the best one out there.

Remember that these are all guides/ranges - they are not truth.

Personally, I would avoid glassdoor - I rarely find that its data is accurate.

Remember…once you get the offer you'll know the truth….focus on that.

While I am not able to answer that specific question, I suggest you also consult Glassdoor, which is another useful datapoint.
