Preparing for Deloitte's IQ test involves several key steps to help you perform your best. Here are some tips to help you prepare for the test:

Understand the Test Format: Familiarize yourself with the format of the IQ test. Research the types of questions and exercises that are typically included in the test.

Practice Aptitude Tests: IQ tests often include sections on numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and logical reasoning. Practice sample aptitude tests to improve your skills in these areas. You can also take an online IQ test to prepare for this.

Time Management: Work on improving your speed and accuracy in answering questions. Time management is crucial in IQ tests, so practice completing questions within the given time limits.

Critical Thinking: Develop your critical thinking skills by solving puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers. This will help you improve your logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

Study Relevant Topics: Review basic mathematical concepts, vocabulary, and grammar rules. Brush up on general knowledge and current affairs to prepare for any general knowledge sections.

Get Adequate Rest: Ensure that you're well-rested before the test day. A good night's sleep can help improve your cognitive abilities and mental alertness.

Stay Calm and Focused: On the day of the test, try to stay calm and focused. Manage test anxiety by practicing relaxation techniques and positive self-talk.

Hi Louay,

as far as I know, Deloitte will require you to take 2 online reasoning tests, namely, Numerical Test and Verbal Reasoning Test. These are administered by Kenexa (formerly PSL). The Kenexa format is commonly used in investment banking and also in the consulting industry.

The Numerical Test consists of 20 questions with 20 minute time limit. You can go back and forth and change the answers (but don’t do it). The level of difficulty varies and proper preparation using tutorials is a must! The best place to learn how to get a top score is probably GraduateMonkey (just google the name). You will need to look for a Kenexa type tutorial they have.

The Verbal Reasoning Test consists of 24 questions to be answered in 18 minutes. The key is to read the questions very quickly FIRST then look for answers in the paragraphs. You will still need a lot of practice and proper tutorial. Assessmentday practice tests should be good to practice.

Cheers, Sidi

Can you provide some more details on what you mean? I have never heard of Deloitte (or any firm, for that matter) asking candidates to complete an IQ test.

If you provide more details, I might be able to provide some input.
