Deloitte Australia case interview prep help

I'm am experienced hire (Consultant) from the Caribbean and have an upcoming case interview in 2 weeks with Deloitte Australia for a Senior Consultant, Change and Culture Role. I don't have a clue what to expect. Is there anyone who can provide context around what to expect and resources I can use to prepare? Happy for advice from anyone from other Deloitte firms outside of Australia as well.

Most likely an experience and technical based interview. But I suggest you reach out to HR for more information.

Congrats on landing the interview! Here’s what I would expect from this interview:

1. Behavioral Interview (a big focus)
Expect lots of questions like:

  • “Tell me about a time you led a change initiative.”
  • “How do you handle resistance to change?”
  • “How have you influenced leadership or culture shifts?”

They’ll want to see experience in stakeholder engagement, change management frameworks, and your ability to navigate complex org dynamics.

2. Case Interview (usually tailored to HR/Org topics)
In my opinion, mainly about:

  • Rolling out an org-wide transformation
  • Handling pushback from frontline staff
  • Building a change adoption plan
  • Cultural integration in post-merger situations

3. Deloitte Core Values & Practical Fit
Questions like, why deloitte, why this office, why change management.

As the coaches above have suggested, you’ll likely have a case and behavioural component to your interview. I’d suggest trying to speak to a recruiter or someone in your alumni network who might have faced similar interviews.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Deloitte!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, I would strongly advise you to contact the recruiter immediately to inquire about the content of your interviews, as they are the only ones who know for certain.
  • Moreover, since you applied for a capability-focused role, I would advise you to brush up on your knowledge of change management and cultural change.
  • Lastly, there is a high chance that you will have to solve a case study, so if you have not already, start preparing for them.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming Deloitte interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

I've prepped candidates for Deloitte, but the reality is that the recruitment process always differs between roles and regions.

If you want to understand how the recruitment process will be specifically for you and what you can expect, your best bet is to contact the recruiter directly and discuss it with them. That's what they are there for.

Nobody will give you a more accurate understanding of what to expect.

Best,
Cristian

Hey there!

For Deloitte Australia, especially in a Change and Culture role, the case will likely focus less on pure market sizing or profitability and more on organizational challenges—think change management, stakeholder alignment, cultural transformation, or implementation strategy. Expect a structured business case with softer elements, possibly with charts or a short prompt, and they’ll assess your logic, communication, and stakeholder thinking.

Also be ready for behavioral questions—Deloitte places a strong emphasis on values and leadership.

Best,
Alessa :)
