If so, what is it like and how to prep for it?
Does Kearney have an online assessment?

Hi there,
I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:
- First of all, generally speaking, Kearney does not seem to use any pre-interview assessments, even though they might occur occasionally.
- Moreover, based on the experiences of my coachees, Kearney's pre-interview assessment will be very similar to the reasoning section of the GMAT. You will be required to solve numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning exercises.
- Therefore, I would highly advise you to familiarize yourself with the format and types of questions and utilize any practice materials or mock tests that might be available. Since it is very similar to the GMAT, official GMAT preparation material should suffice if you cannot find any old Kearney tests.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen

Hi there,
It's quite rare, but it does happen! Most of my candidate do not receive it, but some have.
You should expect GMAT-based math, chart exhibit interpretation, etc.
I wouldn't hurt to be clear on some key case-related and account formulas (margin, growth, breakeven, etc) as well as be good at critically understanding the question (including nuance to questions) and parsing through complicated text with a fair amount of distraction.
You'll also need to be good at chart/graph reading.

Hello,
Most of the candidates I've working with have not had to do an online assessment for Kearney. I've heard of them using something similar to GMAT a few times, so would echo the advice of other coaches here to use GMAT materials in preparation if you need to. Feel free to ask the recruiter at the specific office/position you will be applying for whether they use online assessments, though.

Hi there,
Yes, and it depends on the office.
It's actually quite similar to the one from Roland Berger.
Happy to share an example if you'd find it useful.
Best,
Cristian

Hi,
I checked with my friend who is still in Kearney and yes, there is an online assessment at least for SEA.
I haven't seen materials out there specific to Kearney but based on what I know, its similar to the old BCG style online case i.e. quantitative/logical reasoning.
All the best!
