Clarification on Bain Sova assessment format

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for the consultant role and received an invite for the Sova assessment.

The email mentioned the test is split into two sections; the first covering behavioral, and the second covering numerical and logical reasoning. From what I’ve seen online, the Sova usually also includes verbal reasoning.

Could you clarify whether Bain has recently updated the assessment in the ME to only cover behavioral, numerical, and logical, or if I should also expect/prepare for verbal reasoning?

Hi there,

I'm not aware of any recent changes to the format.

But just to make sure, feel free to ask the recruiter directly. Tell them that you knew that the test used to contain verbal reasoning as well, and that you want to prepare as much as possible, so you'd like to know whether this is still a component of the test or not. There's nothing to lose in just asking.
