Data Science Interview - First Round

Hi everyone! Hope your doing well.

I applied to Mckinsey's advanced analytics team awhile ago and just got informed yesterday that I passed the online quanthub assessment and I have the first round interviews in a week. The structure they informed me is:

You will have 2 First Round interviews and will virtually meet with our consultants for approximately 50 minutes each. Each of your interviews will consist of the following components:

· Personal Experience Interview (PEI) + Technical Experience Interview (TEI)

· Problem Solving Scenario (PSS)

There are many examples and tips I found for business consultancy roles. My concern is how will these be conducted for the data science role? For example for the PSS portion, is there any good resource where I can practice data science cases from, which would be similar to the ones Mckinsey will be asking? Will the TEI require live coding questions, or it will focus on only my past projects and theoretical questions related to it?

Hi there,

While I don't coach for the data science roles, but understanding is that there are indeed live coding questions and they do ask you technical questions to test your expertise.

I'm not aware of practice cases though I'm sure if you google you can find some.
