Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I am an Italian citizen and US green card holder excitedly preparing to embark on a Master in Management (MiM) program at INSEAD for the 2024 intake.
Upon graduation, my career goal is to secure a consulting position at BCG, preferably in one of their US offices such as NYC, Boston, Houston, or Seattle, although I am open to exploring other possibilities.
I'm currently considering two main options and would greatly appreciate your insights:
Option 1: Applying directly to my preferred top 3 US offices right before graduation, possibly engaging in networking with local partners. I'm curious to know if INSEAD is considered a target school in the US, similar to LBS, HEC, and Oxbridge.
Option 2: Applying to BCG offices in Milan or the Middle East, to transition to a US office after gaining 2-3 years of experience. Alternatively, exploring the possibility of securing sponsorship for an MBA in the US, citing family ties as a compelling reason.
Additionally, I'm proficient in French and Spanish. I wonder if this international experience would be an advantage compared to the average US applicant when it comes to MBBs in the US.
If you have any thoughts, suggestions, or perhaps another strategy in mind, I would be grateful for your insights.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
Edit: I attended Bocconi University in Milan, where I pursued my undergraduate degree in International Economics & Finance.
Edit 1: Do I have a shot in Spanish/french offices (even though I'm not native?)
Edit 2: moving internally from BCG Milan to BCG Houston (for example), would a partner recommendation of the latter help with the process?
