A question like this is trying to get at how you think as opposed to getting to the 'right' answer. An organization needs to be both structured and entrepreneurial in order to be effective in the long run.

The best way to answer it is to reflect on what it is you enjoy more and why that is so. For example a structured culture could be more attractive to you because it allows you to focus on the tasks at hand without having to worry about whether the processes are in place to ensure things get done. Alternatively you might enjoy a more entrepreneurial environment because it allows you to think outside of defined boundaries and do things that typically are harder to do in a more defined workplace (e.g., you can quickly launch products without having to worry as much about reputation and other risks).

Both have their pros and cons so it is about which one speaks to your style/temperament.

All,

I would say a combination of both. You can be entrepreneurial and still be structured. You can have certain mental models / frameworks that you use to assess certain entrepreneurial opportunities.

If you get asked this question, they are most likely testing if you can follow a structured methodical way to client work, but also have the courage and ability to show drive.

Best, Aws

I love to analyse things in a structured manner. However, life and challenges on the job sometimes require us to thing out of the box. Flexibility is as much important as structure and an entrepreneur needs both - so I would choose the entrepreneurial mindset.

For me it was mostly entrepreneurial but it varies based on the area of work too. This I why I look forward to work with consulting firm like yours it is a sutle mix of both

That´s a tough one, since both cultures structured and entrepreneurial offer their unique benefits. When I look at my personal interests and strenghts I know that I am more intrigued by entrepreneurial cultures since they offer a more dynamic and fast paced environment. In the best way I´d establish core structures in an entrepreneurial environment.

The structure that attracts more is structured, because it provides the ability and environment to logically and systemically take on challenges, with an expected outcome in view.

Entrepreneurial, because the uncertainty in every situation contains new business opportunities and left space for new ideas

Instinctively I prefer entrepreneurial. I love taking things up and doing something about it. Taking ownership and responsibility. I love the drive, the constant passion and improvement. The general growth mindset. The flexibility towards everything that happens, pivoting and changing everything according to what life throws at your feet.

The downside would be the lack of structure, the general chaos that would accompany the entrepreneurial lifestyle. But it's up to you to create structure inside the chaos to truly succeed

Certainly a fan of both structured as well as entrepeneriual culture. I know that I perform best in an environment where I have a clear frame within which I can move - and high degrees of freedom in how I approach the goal selected. I find a highly structured environment more limiting than an environment which has too high of a degree of freedom.

I like the teams that allow you to express your ideas and innovate, however, I highly appreciate when there is a least an initial framework to start brainstorming, it helps me a lot to orient my ideas

I would say entrepreneural. I'm more intrigued by environments that promote innovation and creativity

Both are appealing cultures and I have personally had the chance to experience great aspect of the two worlds. As many thing in life are not black and white I also cant say that one or the other is clearly more appealing to me. In reality they are also not completely separated. Aspects of both fields are always needed. However the entrepreneurial mindsets is very appealing to me as someone who values a clear mission.

Entrepreneurial, I like the innovative aspects and feel like it can fully satisfy me. At university, the courses I prefered were those that broke the barriers between the professors and students and were we were encouraged to interact and come up with answers ourselves
