Hello Catharina,

Yes you are allowed. Also I have heard good things about the course from the coach Francesco for this game, maybe worth checking.

Best,

Mari

Hi there,

Yes, you are.

When in doubt, ask the recruiter so you're certain you're doing the right thing and playing fair.

Best,
Cristian

Hi Catharina,

First of all, congratulations on the (presumed) invitation from McKinsey!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • Yes, using MS Excel during the McKinsey Solve pre-interview assessment is allowed. In fact, McKinsey seems to ask in the post-assessment survey what resources you used during the assessment, and MS Excel seems to be one of the options.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming McKinsey pre-interview assessment and/or interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen
