McKinsey PST

Hello, I want to ask about MBB tests, McKinsey PST Test in specific, am I allowed to use a calculator during the test? I have read in a lot of places that you are not allowed to use it, but other sites say that you are allowed, so I got a bit confused!

Hi there,

Personally I never heard of a PST where the calculator was allowed. You can check with HR if needed but I highly doubt they changed the rules now.

Best,

Hi,

Unfortunately you are not allowed to use a calculator during the test.

That being said, this really shouldn't be a problem....you need to practice your fast math for casing (and real client engagements) anyway!

Hello,

You are not allowed to use a calculator. Preplounge has a mental math tool that can help you brush up your quant skills.

Best,

Deniz

Hi A,

No, you can't use a calcuator. That's why you have to practice mental math

Best,
André
