Is Korn Ferry a good company for a fresher as an associate consultant?
Korn Ferry

Hi there,
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
- Korn Ferry is not a strategy consulting firm, but rather a combination of executive search, talent management and advisory services. If these are the areas you want to work in, then yes.
You can find more on this topic here: Boutique consulting companies.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

I would say yes, Korn Ferry can be a solid starting point for a fresher, especially if you're interested in organizational strategy, talent advisory, or HR consulting. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll gain exposure to client work, structured problem-solving, and people-focused strategy projects. While it's not a classic strategy consulting firm like MBB, it offers strong learning in leadership development, assessments, and org design. Career progression can be a bit slower than in top-tier consultancies, but it's a respected brand with global reach and can be a good stepping stone.

Overall, I heard good things - I know a couple of people who worked there and nobody complained in an overt way.
Might be worth having a chat with a few current employees - like a coffee chat.
Here's a guide on how to source and conduct these conversations:

Sure why not? KF is a renowned and respectable brand in the consulting world. Do you have any specific concerns? Pls feel free to share over messages.

It is a very good firm in their field of expertise... they are specialized in organizational consulting (different from general management consulting or strategy consulting).

They are specialized on the ‘people’ side of consulting, but I’ve heard good things.
Could be a good start if you’re focused on org-type strategy
