Agreed with directly asking the Kearney recruiter for the office you're applying to.

In my experience, you simply submit a resume and cover letter as part of your application. There is no other pre-assessment work required of you. If you are selected for an interview, it is 2-3 rounds of fit + case interviews throughout the process. Kearney typically places a high focus on fit (of course complimented by strong case work), so ensure you have talked with the recruiter and ideally some members of the office throughout the process to understand the culture of the firm.

Reach out if you have additional questions throughout the process with Kearney - as an ex-Kearney manager who has conducted interviews for the firm, happy to help and give more advice!

Best of luck,

Charlene

The Kearney Middle East recruiting process has no pre-interview assessment (like Mckinsey's Digital Test, BCG chatbot test and Bain SOVA).

The interview consists of 3 rounds:
1st round with a manager
2nd round with a principal
3rd round with a partner

The interview will consist of a fit and case interview. Fit questions are based on your resume and asking about your approach in the workplace. Case interview is candidate-led, you will drive the interview, asking for data while synthesizing and presenting insights to the interviewer.

You will typically between 3 business days to 1 week about your final round result.

Feel free to book a session for a case diagnostic :)

The core of the interview assessment method will be the same like all top consulting firms, which will compromise of a behavioural portion and a case problem.

Preplounge's guide is pretty good to ramp up if you are completely new to this:

Also for these type of questions, ultimately the best course of action is to get input from the local recruitment team as every firm and every office will have a slightly different process that gets regularly updated.

Hi there,

Just Google “Kearney online preparation tests” and you’ll find plenty of free and paid resources to practice with.

Kearney typically follows a candidate-led format — so focus on mastering the fundamentals:

  • Structuring the case clearly
  • Solving math problems
  • Interpreting charts
  • Brainstorming logically
  • Synthesizing your findings at each step

Nail those skills and you’ll be in a strong position. Happy to help you to be ready for the interview. Just drop me a message.

Best

Alberto

Hey there :)

For the Associate role at Kearney Middle East, the process typically starts with a pre-interview assessment, which may include a problem-solving or analytical test (often GMAT-style or a case-based online test). After that, you can expect 2–3 rounds of interviews, mostly case-based with some fit questions. The cases are classic strategy consulting style, often market sizing, profitability, or growth-related, and they like structured and clear communication.

Let me know if you’d like to prep one together!

Best,
Alessa :)

Hi there,

Reach out to the recruiter and ask exactly this question. The recruiter will always be able to tell you the office specifics that we are not able to provide, especially because the process tends to change from time to time.

Typically, you submit the CV + CL + referral (if applicable). Then if selected you are invited to do an online test. If you pass that one, they invite you to two rounds of two interviews, each containing a case and a personal fit component.

Best,
Cristian

Hello there,

Agree with the coach above regarding online materials.

Happy to support you if you're considering hiring a coach. I have recently successfully worked with a candidate for the same position in Brazil.
