Implementation Consulting Middle East

Hi All. I am a strategy consultant in a well renowned strat consulting house based in the UAE. Interested in exploring implementation consulting opportunities at one of the more well established firms that have proper implementation teams such as Oliver Wyman and McKinsey. So looking for insights on type of projects, comp structures, culture and career progression at these firms and if possible to connect with anyone from the implementation teams at OW and McK to get more guidance. Thanks in advance!

Great to see that you have clarity over what you want.

Going beyond this Q&A, my strong advice is for you to start networking with people who are actually in these firms, within the teams that you're interested in.

Have a chat with them and understand what their work is like, how they find it, and what they did in order to get a role there. Here's how to source these contacts and then conduct these conversations:

Then, in terms of how to approach the application process per se, you might find the following resource useful:

Hey,

It would be more efficient for you to do a targeted search on Linkedin across those firms and connect with their consultants directly. There will for sure be someone willing to talk to you and answer all your questions.

Good luck!

Hi there,

All great questions/motivations for networking!

Now, go network!

Through effective networking (I mean getting a LOT of people with excellent messages and navigating the calls well), you can not only learn the answers to your questions but also get your foot in the door!

Hi there,

You need to reach out to the relevant people on LinkedIn.

Find a commonality in your search with relevant people (same background, uni, home country, previous employer, etc.) and reach out with your questions directly.

Cheers,

Florian
