• Some candidates receive a score without any context which is equally useful as an email with no score. 
• Most receive a simple rejection email.

Normally you don’t get results but are just informed if you passed and moved to the next round or not passed. 

I know a small number of cases where the candidate got a “score” from HR, however I believe this was provided by mistake (they should use it for internal use only).

Same boat. 

However, results can take time. For some offices, the result of the game is binary, so if you failed you are out. For other offices, they will consider the results and the rest of your application before making a final decision to invite you for an interview. 

Lastly, it can be days or a few weeks before you hear back.

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

The McKinsey Imbellus results are not meant to be shared with the candidates besides a “pass” (i.e. you get invited for the interviews)/ “reject” information. Nonetheless, I know of an instance where a candidate was informed more in detail about the results which must have been a mistake.
