Usually, when people start as freelances, they leverage their older clients (e.g., they become freelance to cover a specific need, they don't start from nothing and try to get clients).

Thanks for the answer

I am more thinking of matchmakers such as The Barton Partnership or Comatch. Those have contacts with consultancies / corporates and place you at those when a need arises

It would be useful to get the names of main agencies in both geographies
