Booz Allen Hamilton Middle East

Question

I have seen Booz Allen climb through the ranks of consulting companies in the Middle East the last 3-4 years and from the looks of it, they seem like a tier-2 company on par with S&/RB/Kearney/OW however, I am not so sure about how much strategy work they do compared to their tech/gov't defense projects.

I am more interested in doing strategy work so does anyone here know if BAH Middle East does such thing these days?

On a side note, I also appreciate it if you can give me your take on the first part as well.

That is indeed an interesting fact you're pointing out, so I'm happy to give you my perspective on that:

Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) really seems to have climbed the ranks in the ME over the past years, especially due to their strong governmental work.
However, BAH is still primarily focused on technology consulting as the strategy consulting part split away with the separation of BAH and Booz & Company/ Strategy&.
Based on what I heard from my personal network in the ME, the focus on technology consulting and governmental work persists, even if both areas of focus also require a strategic lense.

BAH has indeed come along well in last few years in the middle-east. Although their office remains relatively small overall (~100). They have a good brand in the region and are quite involved in public sector strategy projects.

I am not sure what you mean by strategy vs defense - in the middle east most projects are strategy. There is very little non-strategy projects since industries are still in the process of maturing.
