In this situation, the best thing to do is contact the recruiting team directly. Sometimes the portal status updates before the email with the assessment instructions is sent, or there may have been a technical issue.

They should be able to confirm whether an assessment has been scheduled and resend the link if needed.

Check your spam folder first. BCG assessment emails sometimes end up there.

If nothing is there, email the recruiter directly and let them know you can see the assessment status in the portal but have not received the email. Ask them to resend it or provide the direct link.

Do not wait too long. These assessments usually have deadlines.

Just wait. 

And keep making progress with other applications.

Hi, may I ask which office and role this assessment is for? Is it a Visiting Associate/Associate role, or a more senior position?

that’s actually pretty common, sometimes the portal updates before the email goes out. I’d double-check your spam/junk folder, and if nothing shows in a few days, just reach out to the recruiter politely, they’ll clarify the timing
