I am currently a third-year student at a well-regarded US business school, hoping to recruit for full-time roles at MBB or Strategy& Dubai next year.
I have a strong academic record, leadership positions, consulting projects, and internships at smaller businesses where I have delivered measurable impact.
This summer, I will be working on a large-scale business project with significant responsibilities, but again, it is not a well-known company.
My concern is graduating without a brand-name internship.
How much does employer prestige matter in full-time recruitment? Can meaningful impact, substantial responsibilities, and leadership experience at smaller companies compensate for the lack of a recognizable brand name?
