Hello!! Strategy& is the strategy consulting arm of PwC (closer in style and work to MBB). I have dozens of MBA friends who came from Strategy&, some say it’s the firm that sponsors the most MBAs in the UAE. Salary is very competitive (just slightly below MBB), and their project pipeline is strong, especially in public sector and transformation work

Hi there,

You can think of Strategy& as the specialised strategy / management consulting branch of PwC.

They are strong in the middle east, and generous from what I hear about MBA sponsorships (anyway, in most cases, MBA sponsorship can also be negotiated from situation to situation).

What I'd recommend you do is connect with consultants from ME offices of Strategy& and get a first impression directly from them. Here's an article that outlines how you can source these contacts (the articles explains this with the purpose in mind of getting a referral, but relevant nonetheless):

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your questions:

  • First of all, Strategy&, formerly Booz & Company, is PwC’s strategy arm and operates like any other strategy consulting firm. Therefore, salaries are competitive with those of other strategy consulting firms.
  • Moreover, I would strongly advise you not to fall for the prestige fallacy. Apart from applicants, prestige hardly matters; what truly matters is what you make out of your strategy consulting experience.
  • Lastly, based on the experience of former coachees of mine, Strategy& seems to be quite generous with MBA sponsorship, whether in the Middle East or anywhere else.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare your application files, for your upcoming pre‑interview assessments and/or interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Having an awareness of the recruiting situation for the various firms in the cities is important too to focus your recruiting efforts :) Network and speak to consultants to get a feel of that as well.

Hi There,

Strategy& is PWC's Strategy Consulting arm as already mentioned above. PWC does have consulting, but they tend to operate with much longer project timelines and run implementation (e.g., Think System implementations). Strategy& tends to be pretty competitive salary wise and work wise is going to be more attuned to what you see at MBB and other Strategy shops. I believe in terms of work like many Strategy consulting firms there is going to be a larger focus on the AI shift.

Hope this helps!
