Is Revolut a good place to start a career in Corporate Finance?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently deciding between a traditional bank and Revolut for an internship in Corporate Finance. I'm curious how recruiters and future employers view Revolut compared to more established financial institutions.

Would you consider it a strong stepping stone for investment banking or private equity later on?

Thanks in advance!

It really depends on what you want to get from it.

If you want IB or PE, take the bank. Those recruiters screen for deal reps, modeling hours, and a name-brand analyst program. Corporate Finance at Revolut is operating finance, not transactions. Different muscle. You can still get there later, but you'll be fighting the standard filter.

If you're open beyond that, Revolut is a strong bet and the best brand in fintech (worked there but this is not only personal bias ;)). You get real scope early, and it opens corp dev, strategic finance, growth-stage CFO tracks, later VC. Also it's one of the best options out there if you ever want to be a startup founder. Harder doors to open from a bank analyst seat.

Recruiters don't read Revolut as a step down from a bank, more of a different track. The bar to get in is high and the process looks nothing like a bank's.

If you go the Revolut route, happy to tell you what the process actually tests.
