How long to hear back after first-round interviews at Goldman Sachs?

Hey everyone,

I recently had my first-round interviews at Goldman Sachs (two interviews on the same day) and was wondering how long it usually takes to get feedback from HR.

Do they typically get back quickly, or can it take a few days? Would be great to hear what the usual timeline looks like from others who’ve been through it.

Thanks!

It can vary, but typically you’ll hear back within 3–7 business days after first-round interviews at Goldman Sachs.

Some candidates get updates sooner, others wait a bit longer, especially if the process is still ongoing across regions or teams. No news after a few days isn’t necessarily a bad sign.

If it’s been over a week, it’s okay to send a polite follow-up to HR to check in. Keep prepping in the meantime as you might move to superday on short notice.

Hey! It's completely normal to feel that anxious wait after those first-round interviews at Goldman Sachs, especially when you've done two on the same day. You're definitely not alone in wondering about the timeline.

Generally, with firms like Goldman, the response time can vary quite a bit. While some candidates might hear back quickly, sometimes within a few business days, it's also very common for it to stretch into a week or even longer. They're sifting through a huge volume of applications and interviews, and different teams or divisions might just operate on slightly different paces. So, while you're right to be realistic, don't assume a silent rejection after only three weeks. Keep your head up and focus on any other applications or prep you have going on. Good luck!
