I got an email Wednesday from recruiter asking to setup first round interview which is a case interview. When given days and times to have my interview the options were a week away on the following Thursday. Eager to jump on the opportunity and not lose my chance I set it. I’ve never done a case interview before and my prep started that Wednesday afternoon and it’s been a challenge to say the least trying to prepare for it. Should I attempt to reschedule or is there any guides to help me improve to be ready by next week? I have been watching every video I can find, reading case and point as well as victor cheng books; also a good friend of mine that works at Deloitte sent me a bunch of casing study material that was passed to him that I have been reading through. I want to do well and be prepared and I’m just not sure what to do.

Hi there,
Congrats on getting the interview! With a week to prep, focus on practicing actual cases and structuring your thoughts clearly. Brush up on basic calculations and frameworks, and practice explaining your reasoning out loud.
PrepLounge has helpful finance case guides (link) and this post might be useful too: Capital One 72-hour prep.
Good luck, stay confident!
