What does it mean if some have received offers and some have been rejected, but you've heard nothing?

Judging from what I've seen here and on other forums, it looks like some people are in a position where it's been well over a week since they had a final round interview and they just haven't heard anything from the firm.

If people have already received both offers and rejections at this particular office of a firm, does that mean my application is still in play?

Hi there,

It doesn't mean anything.

Not all applications are reviewed at the same time.

I know the waiting time can be frustrating, but try and not read too much into it.

Best,

Cristian

Hi there,

Until you dont hear from the firm, your application is still in the game! The delay is usually given that all people that interviewed you must submit their feedback and this can take long as everyone's agenda is extremely packed. So delay doesn't mean anything bad, it is just an organizational thing. Still, I would strongly recommend reaching out to HR and asking for an update and a new timeline.

Good luck

Lucie

Hello!

Sorry to hear that you find yourself in that situation, it really must be so frustrating!

What it means, is that it´s time to follow up with HR, if it´s been over a week and you haven´t heard anything. Fingers crossed for u!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi there,

It doesn't mean anything…yet.

Feel free to reach out to those firms to get more clarity.

Continue to network with and apply to other firms - this is a numbers game!

It just means that the person who was meant to call you hasn’t yet - they could be on holiday or just super busy. But it definitely means that you should contact the recruiting team and give them a gentle nudge!

Hello,

I know the wait can be frustrating, but it truly doesn't mean anything just yet. They might be finalizing paperwork or offers on their end, or the person who is supposed to call you is tied up, as Emily suggested. Hang in there, and feel free to reach out to the recruiters to politely ask for an update if you want.

It does not mean anything good or bad. It just means that they do not have a decision yet (since everyone  you interviewed with has to contribute feedback for a final decision) and you will know the outcome as soon as that happens.

Yes, until you receive their answer you can assume that a decision hasn't been made yet. A longer decision timeline (within reason) is usually not a good indicator of the outcome.
