Hello community! I have completed PWC career unlocked game-based assessment and received the feedback, with a final score of 9334.

On average how long should I wait before the company makes contact? And what is your take on the score? I feel it's pretty awful. I applied for a graduate tax associate position in the middle east.

Thank you!

Wait times have been very bad in the ME region specially for BIG4 companies. Its been anywhere from 3 weeks to 12 weeks! Awful!

It has been frustrating for a lot of candidates I am helping and have helped recently.

If 2-3 weeks have passed and you have heard nothing back, try and call your HR or recruiter to request an update. Meanwhile, keep other options going in parallel.

Fingers crossed for you.

Hi there,

First of all, I am sorry to hear about your bad feeling regarding the game-based asssessment!

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • Generally speaking, lead times in the ME region have, unfortunately, significantly increased over the last months, ranging from 2 to 12 weeks.
  • As such, I would advise you to wait 2-3 weeks, call them and politely ask about the status of your application. There is nothing wrong with following up timely if the company does not.

In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your (presumed) consulting interviews, please feel free to contact me directly.

I hope this helps,

Hagen

Hi there,

You should wait around 2-3 weeks. If they don't get back to you by then, feel free to reach out to get an update. Acceptance depends on a range of factors (supply/demand, your overall background/experience, strength of resume, referral/networking done prior, etc. etc.)

Best of luck!
