Onboarding and Offer Letter

Hi,

I provided my particulars last Tuesday 5/5 and it has been a week... with no news. I was just wondering typically how long does it takes to have a written offer for met to vet through?

I'm also not sure how much am I expecting since there's minimal salary range online (Experience Designer, Associate level) and they didn't ask me for previous pay compensation structure nor ask for my expectations HAHA. So I'm kinda worried it might be lower (?) than my last drawn, not sure.

Also, I wanted to know how onboarding is typically like for BCGX. Are we expected to quickly ram up and be thrown into a case to work on it immediately? Will there be a 'shadow' kind of arrangement?

Congrats on the verbal offer! I hope the written one comes through soon.

I wouldn't be able to provide you with a clear range, or nothing more accurate than what you'd find on glassdoor or otherwise.

If you're worried about how long they're taking, just shoot them a polite email and ask. It can take a week or two. That's absolutely normal. It's just about sorting the paperwork on their side.

Regarding onboarding - you'll have a training, a mentor and lots of help. And still, yes, it will feel like you're being thrown into a case anyway. Reach out to those around you for feedback and support. Everybody knows how difficult it is at the start.
