Hi ECON!
Assuming that I start at ECON during COVID-19, how would the onboarding take place? Would I get onboarded from home office?

And in general, how does an onboarding process look like with you?

Thank you!

Hi there,

The current situation is by far not easy and requires many process changes and flexibility.

Assuming you would start at ECON during COVID-19, the onboarding day would take place completely digital! What does “completely digital” mean?

1. Maintaining social distance is key these days: All necessary IT equipment would be delivered to your door step to set you up for success on your first day.

2. We always put a lot of heart and soul in our onboarding day and this shall not change: We just switched to a famous ice breaker game, virtual lunch and a Q&A session with our Managing Director to make the format entertaining.

3. Every new joiner receives a welcome bag, including important information material and a few other nice goodies ?

4. Each project team takes care of the individual onboardings of new staff as usual. Among others, mandatory on the agenda: Virtual team events like joint afterwork drinks.

In general, we also offer a training week, called "Basic Consulting Readiness" to make sure every consultant, no matter their background and previous experience, is set up for success and gets an understanding of the ECON quality standard and way of working. This is usually topped off by a fun weekend.

Best, Anna-Lena
