Hi all - can someone recommend some sources or cases where i can read about the healthcare industry. I want to be prepared for a healthcare case or market sizing for an interview. Thanks!
Healthcare Case

Hello!
In PrepL library you have a guide that focuses precisely on pharma, perhaps that can help.
Regarding cases, have you tried the prepL library? You can search by keywords, which makes it very easy to navigate and find niche cases.
Hope it helps!
Cheers,
Clara

Hi there,
HBS 2014
- Pharmaceutical Rare Disease Business Growth pg. 49
- 3.. Healthcare pg. 84
Stern 2017
- GGC Health pg 44
- Botox pg 163
Tepper 2018
- Regional Health Plan pg 9
Kellog 2016
- Maine Apples
If you end up needing more please let me know! (I've personally worked extensively with candidates recruiting at Merk, Clearview, LEK Life Sciences, etc.) as they have a repertoire of both cases and prompts for discussion.
Also, don't forget to read BCG and McKinsey Insights! Specifically their sections on Healthcare/Life Sciences.
Good luck!
Look up the Yale grad student consulting club (YGCC) casebook for 2014 - it has only LS cases (9 cases in total from well known T2 and boutique Life sciences firms).

Hi Anon,
I’m not an industry expert, but I imagine the healthcare section of major news outlets and business publications would be a helpful place to start.
So personally I would go through the last couple of weeks of coverage in the economist and the financial times.
CNBC is also solid
You could also check out recent MBB reports in the industry :)
Good luck!
Stephan

Why don't you start by the consulting firms publications themselves. Not only you'll learn about the industry, you will also get more used to looking and interpreting their charts, understand their communication style, and possibly even get to see some useful frameworks!
