Happy New Year to all. I have a few questions related to expert track applications. Grateful for your guidance and insights.
- Practice Expert - Travel Logistics and Infrastructure Interview Format: I am wondering whether the interview format and evaluation are different from the generalist role.
- Practice Expert V.S. Practice Specialist. If I understand it correctly, Practice Expert is equivalent to EM. Specialist is equivalent to Associate. May I know the difference between these two roles in terms of the interview format/ focus of each test session?
- Impact of my mistake- I applied for two positions almost at the same time. I received one rejection on the “Experienced Consultant” yesterday. While the status of the “Practice Expert” is still “submitted”. May I know whether it will negatively impact my Practice Expert application? Any other action I can take? Background: I have been waiting for the screening result of the Practice Expert role. It has been 20 days since my submission, but the status in the portal is still "submitted." My referral had kindly communicated my application to one partner before my online application for TLI practice. During the Christmas break, I submitted another online application under the "Experienced consultant" opening (the Job Description was very generic). I guess it was not a wise move at all..... Unfortunately, within a week, I received a rejection letter for the "experienced consultant" role yesterday. Although the status of my “Practice Expert” role is still "submitted", I understand the rejection letter for the "experienced consultant" role is not a good sign anyway. The letter stated, "After careful consideration of your application, we have concluded that we cannot proceed with your candidacy for the Experienced Consultant position at this time. Despite this decision, we would like to keep your information on file for possible opportunities with us in the future. If you are not interested, please feel free to let us know." Good news is that my referral will kindly help me check with HR to find out the status after the new year. While anxiously waiting for the answers during this new year break ( I should avoid doing the same bad move again.. :P) your advice is much appreciated!
Thank you all! Wish you a happy new year
Thank you, Lucie. I love your advice. Very constructive! Some good news: I just received the invitation for the next step! HR is scheduling a 15-30 mins call with me next week. The status in the portal now is " Submitted- In progress"! What a great new year gift. Once again, thank you!
You rock!! Congrats!! ;-)
