Always go straight to the source.
These things differ a lot between firms, offices and roles, so the only people who have accurate knowledge of them are the people who set them.
It's also a great networking opportunity in the process.

I'd also be surprised if they just have, generically, an “Asian office". Rather, double-check that they don't have multiple offices/sub-regions.
Hi, meaning you've cold emailed HR with no response? Personally, I find cold outreach to HR to be quite unfruitful. Rather, network with consultants and work your way towards the answer (and HR, and referral) that way.

I'd say you can wait about a week and then follow-up. If they don't answer, try to find them on linkedin.
