Business analyst vs non-BA position at McKinsey?

Hi all - I have my first Zoom interview with McKinsey scheduled this Friday for a client delivery analyst position (Mckinsey Academy).

Would the interview process be similar to a business analyst position? Also, is the compensation similar across all analyst positions regardless of practice? I have a Ph.D. and 4+ of professional work exp in education - should I ask if I qualify for a senior analyst position?

Any insight re: mckinsey academy would be super helpful!

Hi,

regarding the compensation - usually business analysts have the same comepsation regardless of the practice (at least for European offices). With a 4+ of experience and a PhD you can fit more in a Junior Associate role (or Senior Analyst, the name of the position could change depending on the office but its the middle position between Business Analyst and Associate).

However, I am not really familiar with McKinsey Academy since it's quite new - for any doubt about the interview type I always suggest to get in touch with the HR and ask for clarification
