Hello there,

It's generally a good idea to follow up after a phone screening or interview if you haven't received a response within the expected timeframe. In this case, it's been one whole week since your phone screening with a senior BA from Kearney MENA, so it's reasonable to reach out for an update.

Ideally you would reach out to the HR as they are the point of contact and can provide you with information about the status of your application.

Remember to give the team a reasonable amount of time to respond, typically around a week or so. They might be busy with their schedule, and it's essential to be patient.

Also its important to maintain a professional and courteous tone in all your communications.

Good luck with your job application!

Hi there,

Ultimately, do remember that if they want to reach out they will.

That said, if it helps your nerves and gives you a sense of control, you can reach out after 2-3 weeks (I think 1 week is far too quick).

Additionally, please never put all your hopes onto 1 firm….please makes sure you're networking with and applying to a ton of companies!

McKinsey consultant (5+ yrs) and interviewer| Ivy MBA | Stellar track record getting candidates to land the offer

Hi,

It's completely understandable to be eager for updates after your phone screening with. Waiting can be challenging, but it's important to remember that the hiring processes can take time – interviewers are often also working as consultants on their projects, which can make things slower.

That said, I think it’s fine to reach out to check for an update after 1-2 weeks. You can send a polite and professional email to the Senior BA you had your phone screening with – maybe include a short update on what you are up to and reiterate your interest. You can turn it into an opportunity to show how motivated you are.

If you have been in touch with HR before as well, consider reaching out to them in addition or alternatively to reaching out to the Senior BA. They may provide you with information on the overall hiring timeline and potentially help facilitate communication between you and the interviewing team.

Remember that the hiring process can vary from one organization to another, and delays can happen for various reasons. Your proactive approach shows your genuine interest in the role! Keep a positive attitude, and I hope you hear back from Kearney MENA with good news soon! Good luck with your job hunt 🌟

Hi there!

Sorry to hear about the way.

But 1 week is actually not that long. I'd say anything that goes beyond 2-3 weeks is suspicious, but for now it's totally expected.

Wait a couple more days and then contact HR directly. They should be able to give you an update on your application.

Best of luck and I hope you hear soon from them!
Cristian

Hello,

1 week is well within the usual timeframe of response after the initial screening: it usually takes around 2-3 weeks for candidates to hear back. So for now I would stay put, but if you still haven't heard after 4 week or so, you could reach out to HR. Fingers crossed for you!
