Hi everyone, hope this question receives you well. 13 days ago I had my final round of interviews for BCG Riyadh. After emailing the recruiter today, she stated she will have a call with me to inform me of the outcome of my interview. Is this a good sign or will I be rejected?
BCG Middle East Final Round Outcome

Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with BCG thus far!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
- First of all, getting a call from the recruiter after the final interview round is a standard process. It does not indicate a positive or negative outcome.
- Moreover, waiting for a response after the final interview round can be nerve-wracking. I would advise you to stay calm and prepare for both potential outcomes.
You can find more on the topic of a potential rejection here: How to deal with a rejection from a consulting company.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

I waited 16 days between my last interview and the BCG offer call. It was a partner that called me directly, not a recruiter. But I was going for a mid-senior role (PL)
My view is that a long time waiting usually is a good sign: you're not a clear “reject”. Sometimes the decision makers just didn't have time to convene and decide, but if you were a clear "no", that wouldn't take long to let you know.

It doesn’t look very promising given the final happened 13 days ago, however it doesn’t necessarily mean it is going to be a rejection. I believe no one can provide a definitive answer at this stage so the only option to get clarity is to have the call.
Good luck!

Hello,
This is neither a good sign nor a bad sign, this is just standard practice. After the final round, candidates are usually informed of the outcome by phone call. Hang in there, and you should hear from them soon! Fingers crossed for you!!

It is really impossible to read into this.
It can be a rejection + feedback call.
It can be a call to present you their offer and discuss next steps…

Hi there,
I wouldn't read too much into it.
It could go either way.
Let's hope she brings good news.
If not, please keep on applying. This is a tough time for applications. So those who keep going are those who survive and thrive.

Hi there,
Honestly, it's rare for them to spend time calling unless there's a “good” reason.
Now, I can't say that you have the offer. It might be that they want to call to give you the offer
OR that they want to give you the offer and cannot (you performed well, but not well enough, there are not enough slots, there is 1 other candidate that outshone, etc)..i.e. they're telling you re-apply in a year or try another office.
Regardless, remember that even if this is “bad” news life goes on and there are tons of other firms!
Fingers crossed for you!

Hi there,
it's a neutral message - would not interpret too much into it. Also, it's not in your control now, so just wait until the call and hope for the best.
Hope for you the call will bring good news. All the best!
Regards, Andi

Hi,
I confirm it is not a signal of rejection.
Finger crossed (:
